Tell your AI each phase of the job, how long it takes and who is on it, and it creates the tasks in Projul and puts them on the "Schedule."
Building the schedule
Your AI needs a Read-Write key, active people under "People," and a project, so mark the lead sold first. See handling concrete leads and follow-ups.
A concrete job runs in a fixed sequence with the pour in the middle. Give your AI the phases, durations and crews:
Build the schedule for [Lot 14 Foundation] in Projul starting [Monday May 4]. Layout and stakes is [half a day] with [Grace Oakes]. Excavate footing trench is [2 days] with [Grace Oakes] and [Tina Abbott]. Set footing forms is [2 days] with the form crew. Rebar is [1 day] with [Priya Hutton]. Footing inspection is [the morning of May 11]. Footing pour is [May 12] from [6 am to 2 pm]. Skip weekends, work days [6:30 to 3].
It can also stamp a schedule template, copy a finished job's tasks onto the next lot, or size phases from a sold estimate. See schedule templates and building a whole job schedule at once.
Crews, teams and split windows
Name a person, or a team such as your form crew, and Projul adds everyone on it. The task keeps those people, so a later roster change will not rewrite a pour already scheduled; your AI can also create and manage teams. See assigning a crew and managing teams.
A task can carry more than one time window, each with its own people: placers early, finishers behind them. Deadlines for locates or the ready-mix order use the same tool.
Weather, checklists and repeat work
Rain, frost, a late plant load or a delayed inspector are the usual reasons a schedule moves. Your AI moves the days you name and shifts what follows.
The inspector cannot get to [Lot 14 Foundation] until [Thursday]. Push the [Footing pour] and everything after it in Projul back by [two working days], skipping the weekend.
Note: Task dependencies, the links that shift tasks together on the Gantt, are not available to your AI.
Your AI can add checklist steps to a task, read back what is checked off, and check items off for you. Recurring work is a repeating task instead of a weekly copy, and a single date can be skipped, though repeating tasks cannot carry a checklist. See checklists and repeating tasks.
Photos and things to know
Your AI can read a project's existing photos and files, attach them to a task or estimate, and hand you a download link. Uploading from your computer needs a tool that can move files; chat assistants cannot. See uploading a job-site photo and attaching files to a task.
Note: Your AI schedules in your Projul time zone, only active people can be assigned, and time tracking and purchase orders stay in Projul. A long schedule builds steadily to respect Projul's request limits; see also features not yet available.
