Your AI can add a checklist of steps to a task, check steps off, and mark a task complete or reopen it, the same as clicking "MARK TASK COMPLETE" in Projul.
Adding and checking off steps
Checklists are the "Steps" you see on a task card under "Task list" and on the task itself. Tell your AI what to add, in order, and it keeps every step's checked state when you add, remove, or reorder items.
Add these steps to the [Tear out existing deck] task in Projul: [disconnect and cap the deck light, remove railing and boards, cut and pull framing, load dumpster and sweep].
You can also ask it to check steps off, remove one, or tell you which are still open; it asks you to approve any change. Open the task from "Schedule" or "Task list" to see the steps panel, showing each step as "DONE" or "TO DO" with the percentage complete at the top, for example "50%". The card under "Task list" shows "2 / 4" above "completed steps".
Completing or reopening a task
Mark the [Tear out existing deck] task in Projul complete.
Your AI asks you to approve first. Completing a non-repeating task checks off all of its steps, and reopening it unchecks them, the same as in the app. Completing an estimate meeting or a "Write Estimate" task on a lead can also move the lead forward in "Lead pipeline", but only when the lead is at the stage that task is waiting on.
When Projul refuses
Three settings under "Settings" and then "Scheduling" can block a completion or reopen, the same rules that hide the complete button in the app: "Require Steps To Be Completed" forces step-by-step completion, "Only Complete Follow-ups When Recorded" requires the follow-up recorded in the communications channel instead, and turning off "Allow time off and absent events to be marked complete" blocks those events. By default the second is on and the third is off. Your AI tells you when Projul refused and why.
Repeating tasks
A repeating task, such as a weekly crew meeting, is completed one occurrence at a time, so say which day, for example "this Monday's crew meeting." Your AI cannot add, change, or check off steps on a repeating task and tells you Projul refused if you ask. It can still read an existing checklist on one, just not which steps are checked, since Projul tracks that per occurrence.
