Describe the phases of the job, how long each takes, and who does it, and your AI creates every task in Projul, each on its own dates with its own crew, on the project's "Gantt" and "Schedule".
Your AI creates the tasks one at a time, and your AI tool asks you to approve each one unless you have set it to always allow task creation.
What to say to your AI
Build the schedule for [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul starting [Monday September 8]. Demo takes [1 day] with [Grace Oakes] and [Priya Hutton]. Footings and framing take [3 days] with the same two plus [Tina Abbott]. Decking is [2 days] with [Grace] and [Priya]. Railings and finish are [1 day] with [Grace]. Skip weekends. Work days are [8 to 4].
Your AI turns each phase into a task with a date range and crew. If two phases can overlap, say so, and it schedules them on the same days.
Copying a schedule or building from an estimate
Read the tasks on [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul and create the same tasks on [Miller Deck Rebuild], starting [October 6], same durations, same crews, no checklists yet.
Your AI reads the finished job's tasks and recreates them on the new project, shifting every date by the same amount. This works for any past job, not only ones saved as templates.
Your AI can also read the sections on a project's estimate and create one task per section, sizing each task from the quantities on that section's labor lines, similar to "Export labor to tasks" in Projul. Projul does not store an hours total on a section, so the hours come from the labor lines themselves. If the estimate does not price labor by the hour, tell your AI how long each phase takes.
Projul also has project and schedule templates. To start a project from one, see How do I have my AI start a project from a project or schedule template?.
What you will see
In Projul, open "Projects" and switch to the "Gantt" or "Timeline" view. The project shows every task as a bar on its dates. "Schedule" shows the same tasks on each crew member's row.
Things to know
Note: Projul limits how fast one key can create records, so a long schedule is created steadily rather than all at once. If your AI stops partway, tell it to read the tasks already on the project and then create only the ones that are missing.
Note: Task dependencies, the links between tasks that shift together on the Gantt, are not available to your AI. Set those in Projul afterwards if you use them.
