Tell your AI the job, the task, when it happens and who is on it, and it creates the task and puts it on the "Schedule" for those people. Leave out a date and it becomes an unscheduled task instead.
Tell your AI what you want
Your AI needs a Read-Write connection, and people must already be under "People" in Projul, named as they appear there.
Create a task on [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul called [Tear out existing deck] for [next Wednesday] from [8 am to 4 pm], and put [Grace Oakes] and [Priya Hutton] on it.
Your AI asks you to approve, then confirms the task. In Projul, click "Schedule" in the left menu and go to that week; the task sits on each assigned person's row, and also shows under "Task list" and on the project's "Timeline" and "Gantt" views.
Task types
Say the kind of task: "task", "deadline", "follow-up reminder", "estimate meeting", "write estimate", "event", "meeting", "time off" or "absent"; unsaid, it makes a regular task. An estimate meeting makes its people the estimators and, once completed, moves a lead from "New", "Contact" or "Schedule" to "Estimate", not from other stages. Dates, times and who is on it
Give a date and start and end times for a scheduled window, or say "all day" or just a date and your AI picks the times, since Connect does not read your work hours under "Settings" and "Scheduling". Leave the date out entirely for an unscheduled task. A task can have more than one window, each with its own people, for example a different crew each day. Name the people, or a team to put everyone on it onto the task. See How do I have my AI assign a crew (people and teams)?
Note: Connect does not read your time zone either, so say the zone you mean, for example "8 am Pacific", and check the "Schedule" afterward. Find an unscheduled task in "Task list" by setting the date dropdown to "Unscheduled" and switching "My Tasks" to "Everyone's Tasks".
Adding a checklist
List the steps and your AI adds them in order for the crew to check off in the app; it can also read or check them off for you. A repeating task cannot have steps.
Create a task on [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul called [Tear out existing deck] for [next Wednesday, 8 to 4], with [Grace Oakes] and [Priya Hutton] on it, and these steps: [disconnect and cap the deck light, remove railing and boards, cut and pull framing, load dumpster and sweep].
