Projul limits how fast one API key can make requests: reading is capped around ten requests a second, and changing data around five, so one busy AI cannot slow Projul down for everyone else at your company. When your AI hits either limit, Projul replies "too many requests" and tells it how long to wait.
This is normal pacing, not a sign anything is wrong with your account or key.
When it happens
Ordinary questions never come close to the limit. It shows up on big jobs: building an estimate with dozens of sections, creating a whole schedule of tasks, or reading through hundreds of clients or projects. Each of those is many separate requests, and if your AI fires them off all at once, some get told to wait.
What your AI does about it
Projul's reply says how many seconds to wait. Your AI pauses, then retries the same request, and Projul makes sure a retried create does not make a duplicate. If your AI reports "too many requests" instead of handling it, tell it to slow down and keep going.
Slow down and keep going. Wait when Projul asks you to.
Making big jobs go faster
Ask for less at a time. Adding one section, then the next, sends fewer requests at once than asking for a whole fifty-line estimate in a single message, and it gives you a chance to correct the first section before the rest is built. Narrowing questions to one project, one client, or one week means your AI reads fewer pages.
Note: Each key has its own limit, and your whole company also shares one higher limit across every key combined. Two AI tools with two keys will not usually slow each other down, but if both work hard at the same time, they can still run into that shared, company-wide limit.
The monthly allowance and upload limits
Each account can also make 100,000 Projul AI Connect requests per calendar month. When that allowance runs out, waiting a few seconds does not help, because the count only resets at the start of the next month. Check how much you have used by clicking "Settings", then "Projul AI Connect", under "Connect usage".
File uploads have their own lower limit: about ten a minute for one key, thirty a minute for your whole company, and at most 25 uploads in progress company-wide at once. Because of this, uploading a folder of many photos takes a few minutes rather than happening all at once.
