Tell your AI the phases, the dates, and who is on each one, and it lays out the job's schedule in Projul.
Laying out a job
If every job runs the same phases, start from a project or schedule template; it stamps the spine onto the new project. See How do I have my AI start a project from a project or schedule template?.
Start a new project in Projul called [Nakamura Rear Addition] for [Sara Nakamura] from my [Addition build] schedule template, beginning [March 2], and bring the crews along.
For a one-of-a-kind job, dictate the phases and let your AI place them: permit submittal, plan review, preconstruction meeting, demolition, foundation, framing, rough-in, inspection, insulation, drywall, cabinets, countertop, tile, flooring, paint, punch list, final walkthrough. Crew and trade partners
Employees and subcontractors are both "People" in Projul; a team is a saved group of them. Name people, or name a team and everyone on it goes on the task. A task can hold more than one schedule window, so the crew can change mid-phase. See How do I have my AI assign a crew (people and teams)? and How does my AI use my teams?.
Keeping it current
Your AI confirms dates and people first. Click "Schedule" in the left menu; the tasks also show under "Task list," "Timeline," and "Gantt."
When plan review runs late, cabinets slip, or weather moves a pour, say what happened and your AI moves everything downstream.
Plan review on [Nakamura Rear Addition] in Projul came back [three weeks late]. Push every task from [demolition] onward back by [three weeks] and tell me the new dates.
Checklists hold a task's phase-gate items: add steps, check them off, mark the task complete; a repeating task can't carry one. Things to know
Note: Your AI schedules in your Projul time zone; only active employees and subcontractors can be assigned. Time tracking, daily logs, and purchase orders aren't available to your AI yet. See Which Projul features are not available to my AI yet?.
