Tell your AI what has to happen on the fence job, when, and who is on it, and it puts the tasks on the "Schedule" for those people.
The shape of a fence job
A fence job is usually several tasks: the locate, the material drop, tear-out, layout and dig, the cure, the build, gates, stain and seal, and the final walk. Your AI can create all of it from one description, or add pieces as it moves.
Schedule the [Hollis Privacy Fence] job in Projul. [Monday]: call in the locate, a deadline on [Marco Reyes]. [Tuesday 7 am to 9 am]: material drop, [214 lin ft of cedar, 28 posts, 56 bags of concrete, two gate kits]. [Wednesday 7 am to 4 pm]: tear out 90 ft of chain link and set posts, [Tomas Vega] and [Ruth Bell]. [Thursday] is the cure, nothing scheduled. [Friday 7 am to 4 pm] and [Monday 7 am to 2 pm]: rails and pickets, [Tomas Vega] and [Ruth Bell]. [Monday 2 pm to 4 pm]: hang both gates, [Ruth Bell]. [Tuesday 8 am to 9 am]: final walk with the client, [Marco Reyes].
No date yet? The task is created unscheduled, like "+ New Task" without a time. See How do I have my AI create a task and put it on the schedule? Run the same sequence on every fence: save it once as a template so the whole run lands at once. See How do I have my AI start a project from a project or schedule template? and How do I have my AI build a whole job schedule at once?
Crews, multi-day builds, and moves
Name a person, or a team: Projul locks in everyone on the team right now, so a later roster change does not rewrite a scheduled job. See How do I have my AI assign a crew (people and teams)? and How does my AI use my teams? A multi-day build can hold several windows in one task, each with its own crew, instead of copies of the task. Rain, frozen ground, or a late drop can push a whole job at once; have your AI read the week back first. See How do I ask my AI what is on the schedule this week?
Checklists, photos, and marking complete
Your AI adds steps in order, and the crew checks them off in the app; a repeating task, like a weekly trailer check, cannot carry one. See How do I set up a repeating task with my AI? and How do I use checklists and complete tasks with my AI? It can attach a photo or document to the job, a task, or the estimate: a before shot, the locate ticket, the HOA approval, a signed measure sheet. See How do I have my AI upload a job-site photo or document? and How do I attach files to a task or an estimate with my AI? When the walk is done, mark the last task complete, log a note, and close the job. See How do I have my AI mark a job sold, completed or lost?
Note: Your AI schedules in your Projul time zone. Crew hours, time logs, and the time clock are not available to it: a task on the schedule is not a timesheet entry.
