No. Your AI can build and edit an estimate while it is a Draft, while it is waiting for review, and while a reviewer has sent it back for revision, but publishing it, sending it to the client, recording approval, and invoicing are steps you do in Projul.
What your AI can do
While an estimate is a Draft, waiting for review, or sent back by a reviewer, your AI can create it from scratch or from a template, add and change sections and line items, apply a tax rate and discounts, and set the introduction and contract details text. It can add a change order at any time, including after the client has approved the original. At any status, it can read the estimate and add notes to it.
What your AI cannot do
Your AI cannot publish an estimate, send it to the client, approve it on the client's behalf, mark it rejected, create an invoice from it, or record a payment. It has no tool for any of these, so it cannot do them no matter how you ask. It also cannot edit a version that has been published or approved.
Publishing and sending from Projul
To publish and send the estimate your AI built:
- Click "Estimates" in the menu on the left. The estimate is at the top of the list.
- Open it and look it over, then click "Publish estimate" and confirm in the dialog. This enables the client view and locks the estimate editor.
- Click "Send estimate", then "Email to client" to email it, or click "Approve without signature" if the client approved another way.
Changing an estimate after it is published
Once the client has approved, changes go on a change order, and your AI can create the change order for you. See How do I have my AI add a change order?. If the estimate has been published but not yet approved, open it in Projul and click "Unpublish & edit estimate", then confirm. It returns to Draft and your AI can edit it again. Revoking an approval does not by itself return the estimate to Draft.
