In Claude on the web, you add Projul as a connector from "Customize", then "Connectors", then "Add"; give it your Projul AI Connect API key, click "Connect", then ask about your clients, projects, estimates and tasks in any chat.
This covers Claude in a browser at claude.ai, for the desktop app, phone app, or Cowork, see How do I connect the Claude desktop app to Projul?, How do I use Projul with Claude on my phone?, or How do I connect Cowork to Projul?.
Adding Projul as a connector
You need a computer (not the phone app) and a Projul AI Connect API key, see How do I get my Projul AI Connect API key? if needed. (Team/Enterprise: only the owner adds it, from "Organization settings", "Custom", "Web" instead, with a company key.)
- Go to claude.ai, sign in, click "Customize", then "Connectors", then "Add".
- Type Projul as the name and https://connect.projul.com/mcp as the address, then click "Continue".
- Choose "None" for authentication. Add a header named "authorization" valued Bearer, a space, then your whole key (Bearer prjl_live_YOURKEYHERE), then click "Add".
Claude hides the key for good, then opens a page reading "You are not connected to Projul yet." Click "Connect".
A message says "Connected to Projul," listing what Claude can do under "Tool permissions".
Asking Claude about Projul
Projul is on by default in new chats; check via the plus button, then "Connectors".
Ask like you would a coworker:
Tell me about the [Thompson Deck Rebuild] project. Who is the client, and what is the estimate total?
Claude first shows a "Needs your input" card naming the action, such as "List projects and leads"; click "Allow once", "Always allow", or "Deny".
Once allowed, Claude answers in plain English with a "Loaded tools, used Projul integration" line for detail. Ask similarly about projects, tasks, or clients.
With a Read-Write key, Claude can also add or change things:
Add a new client to Projul named [Sam Rivera].
Claude shows the approval card again, naming the action, like "Create or match a client"; it writes nothing until allowed. Read keys can only look; Read-Write also creates and changes leads, estimates and tasks, see Should I give my AI a Read key or a Read-Write key?.
Permissions and removal
Under "Tool permissions", a Read-Write key lists "Read-only tools" and "Write/delete tools"; a Read key shows only the first. Everything starts "Needs approval" until allowed once or set to always allow, here.
Click "Disconnect" to pause access, or the three-dot menu to remove it fully. Keys cannot be edited, remove and re-add to fix or rotate one; that alone does not revoke it in Projul, so use "Settings", "Projul AI Connect" for that.
