Cowork on the web uses the same Projul AI Connector as Claude chat, added once under "Customize", then "Connectors". Switch the message box from "Chat" to "Cowork" and describe the job in plain English.
Note: Cowork on the web is in Beta on the Pro, Max and Team plans, and on Enterprise plans where an admin has enabled it.
Adding Projul, if you have not already
If Projul already appears under "Customize" and "Connectors", skip to the next section. Otherwise you will need your API key first; see How do I get my Projul AI Connect API key?
- Go to claude.ai and sign in. Click "Customize", then "Connectors", then "Add" in the top right corner.
- In the "Name" field, type Projul. In the "Remote MCP server URL" field, type https://connect.projul.com/mcp exactly as shown, and click "Continue".
- Under "Authentication", choose "None" even if Claude flags a sign-in warning; you are using a key instead. Add a header named authorization with value Bearer, a space, then your API key, and click "Add".
- On the Projul AI Connector page that opens, click "Connect". A message says "Connected to Projul."
For more detail, see How do I connect Claude on the web to Projul?
Switching to Cowork
Start a new chat and click "Cowork" next to "Chat" in the message box. For the desktop app, see How do I connect the Claude desktop app to Projul?
Projul turns on for new Cowork tasks automatically. To check, click the plus button in the bottom left of the message box, point at "Connectors", and confirm the switch next to "Projul" is on.
Giving Cowork a job
Describe the job the way you would hand it to an office assistant, for example:
Go through every active project in Projul and tell me which ones have no tasks scheduled in the next two weeks.
Look at the tasks scheduled in Projul for next week and write me a short crew schedule I can print.
Cowork shows its progress on the left and fills in the "Progress", "Outputs" and "Context" panels on the right as it works. Anything it writes for you appears under "Outputs".
Approving what Cowork does
While Cowork is set to "Manual", it shows a card before touching Projul, naming the action, such as "projects_list". Click "Allow once" to continue, or "Deny" to stop it.
Note: Actions named "list" or "get" only look things up. Others, such as "customers_create" or "tasks_complete", change data and need a Read-Write key. "Auto" or "Skip" mode lets Cowork run without asking.
