Tell your AI the phase, the dates, and who is on it, and it creates the task in Projul, places it on the "Schedule", and reworks the chain when something slips.
Laying out a buildout
Start from a schedule template if every suite runs the same phases; it stamps the task spine onto the new project. See How do I have my AI start a project from a project or schedule template? For a one-of-a-kind suite, dictate the phases, dates, and who is on each instead.
Lay out the schedule for [Northgate Plaza Suite 210 Tenant Improvement] in Projul, starting [March 17]: [Permit submittal] on [March 17], one day, [Renata Cole]. [Plan review] as a deadline on [April 10]. [Preconstruction meeting] on [April 14] from [9 to 10:30 am] with [Renata Cole], [Dale Sorenson] and [Curtis Nash]. [Selective demolition], [April 16 to April 21], the [Demolition crew] team. [Overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough-in], [April 30 to May 12], [Priya Deshmukh], [Trent Okafor] and [Nina Barros]. [Above-ceiling and rough inspection] as a deadline on [May 14]. [Final inspection] as a deadline on [June 29]. Tell me the dates you set for each one.
Each task sits on "Schedule" for everyone on it, and also shows under "Task list" and on the project's "Timeline" and "Gantt" views. See How do I have my AI build a whole job schedule at once?
Crews and subcontractors
Employees and subcontractors are people under "People"; a team is a saved group of them, and naming either puts everyone on it on the task. A task can carry more than one window, so a crew can hand off partway through. See How do I have my AI assign a crew (people and teams)? and How do I create a crew and manage its members with my AI?
When something slips
Plan review runs late, a delivery slips, or an inspector cannot come until Monday. Say what happened and what should move, and your AI shifts every downstream task and gives new dates.
Plan review on [Northgate Plaza Suite 210 Tenant Improvement] in Projul came back [three weeks late]. Push every task from [mobilization] onward back by [three weeks] and tell me the new dates.
In an occupied building, give the hours you mean; lobby work is usually after 6 pm.
Checklists, photos, and reading the schedule back
A checklist holds the phase-gate items; your AI can add steps, check them off, complete the task, or set up a repeating meeting. See How do I use checklists and complete tasks with my AI? and How do I set up a repeating task (like a weekly crew meeting) with my AI?
Your AI can attach a photo or document to the project, a task, or the estimate, and log a site visit or call as a message. See How do I attach files to a task or an estimate with my AI?
Ask what is on the schedule for a week, by person or job, or which tasks are past their date. See How do I ask my AI what's on the schedule this week?
Note: Your AI schedules in your Projul time zone, and only active people can be assigned; a repeating task cannot carry a checklist. Time tracking, daily logs, and purchase orders are not yet available. See Which Projul features are not available to my AI yet?
