Describe the job the way you would brief an estimator, and your AI builds the estimate in Projul: sections, quantities, your cost and markup on every line. It lands in "Estimates" as a Draft, ready to review and send.
What to say to your AI
Give quantities and rates the way you'd read them off a takeoff sheet, phase by phase: floor system, wall framing, roof framing, doors and trim. Need a project first? See How do I have my AI add a new lead? Pricing from a saved template instead? See How do I have my AI create an estimate from one of my templates?

For a trim-only job, one section is often enough, and you can let your AI propose the takeoff from rough dimensions instead.
Create an estimate in Projul for [Bennett Trim Package]. One section, [Interior trim], with [6] prehung doors at [$205] plus [25]%, [340] lin ft of primed [MDF] base at [$1.95] plus [25]%, [280] lin ft of casing at [$1.85] plus [25]%, [58] lin ft of crown at [$3.40] plus [25]%, a materials line for fasteners, adhesive and caulk at [$185] plus [25]%, and [64] hours of finish carpentry labor at [$62] plus [45]%. Lines, units and markup
Every line has a type (labor, material or other), a quantity, a unit you choose, a cost per unit and a markup, as a percent or a flat amount. Projul multiplies, applies the markup and produces every subtotal. See How does my AI calculate prices, markup and tax? Save recurring items to your cost-item library so it reuses the price.
Selections, tax and change orders
Give the client a grade to choose between as a selection, or extras to add freely as an optional section. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI? Tax applies only when you name a rate set up in Projul; lines follow your company's taxable defaults unless you say otherwise. Your AI can also write the introduction and contract text. See How do I have my AI write the introduction and contract text? Price later additions or removed scope as a change order. See How do I have my AI add a change order?
What you will see
Your AI asks you to approve each step and reports the estimate number and total when done. Open "Estimates" and the new estimate sits at the top as a Draft, with each section's subtotal on the card.
Note: Publishing and sending happen in Projul, not your AI. See Can my AI publish or send an estimate? Pricing this package often? Save it as a template. See How do I build and reuse estimate, section and line-item templates with my AI?
