Tell your AI the phase, the days it takes and who is on it, and it puts the task on the "Schedule". Describe the whole build and it creates every phase in turn.
Laying out the build
Give your AI the phases, how long each takes and who does them. It creates one task per phase and asks you to approve it.
Build the schedule for [Alvarez Pool Build] in Projul starting [Monday April 14]. Excavation is [1 day] with the [dig crew]. Steel is [2 days] with [Marco Ruiz] and [Danny Poole]. Gunite is [1 morning] with the [gunite sub], then [7 days] of cure. Tile and coping is [3 days] with the [tile crew]. Skip weekends, work days are [7 am to 3:30 pm].
A schedule template shortcuts a standard build: see How do I have my AI start a project from a project or schedule template? For the whole-build route, see How do I have my AI build a whole job schedule at once?
Click "Schedule" in the menu on the left; each task sits on the row of everyone assigned, and also under "Task list", "Timeline" and "Gantt".
Crews, moves and checklists
Name a team, such as your dig or tile crew, and everyone on it now is added; the task then holds those people, not the team. See How do I have my AI assign a crew (people and teams)?
Rain, a failed inspection or a late delivery pushes a phase back; your AI moves the task and the phases after it, keeping the crews attached.
Rain today. Push [Layout and excavation] on [Alvarez Pool Build] in Projul to [tomorrow] and move steel, plumbing and gunite back one working day each. Keep the same crews.
Checklist steps for a gunite pour ride on the task; the crew checks them off, and your AI can too. See How do I use checklists and complete tasks with my AI? A repeating task, which cannot carry a checklist, covers something like start-up week in one request; see How do I set up a repeating task with my AI?
Photos from the site
Your AI can attach photos already in Projul to a task. A tool that can move files can also upload them; chat assistants cannot. See How do I have my AI upload a job-site photo or document? and How do I attach files to a task or an estimate with my AI?
Asking what is on the schedule
Ask what is on the schedule this week, which jobs are waiting on a phase, or which tasks are overdue.
Note: Time tracking is not yet available to your AI; hours, daily logs and purchase orders are handled in Projul. See Which Projul features are not available to my AI yet?
