Describe the job and your AI builds the estimate in Projul, a section per phase with line items carrying your counts, cost and markup. It appears in "Estimates" as a Draft, totals calculated, ready to review and send.
What to tell your AI
Your AI needs a Read-Write connection and a project or lead, and can add the client if needed. See How do I have my AI handle drywall and insulation leads and follow-ups?. Give it the takeoff, quantities, unit, cost and markup as a percent or flat amount, or point it at a saved estimate or section template to copy and adjust. For a repair job, describe it and let your AI propose quantities from your rates.

Units, tax and choices for the client
A line is labor, material or other; category and trade come from your tags and trades. Say the unit and Projul works out every total. Tax applies only when you name a rate, and a saved discount can be applied by name. See How does my AI calculate prices, markup and tax?. A section like texture can be a selection so only the client's pick counts, and its line prices can stay hidden while the total shows. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI?.
On the [Rockwater Lot 42 Hang and Finish] estimate in Projul, make [Texture] a section where the client must choose one: [knockdown at $1,935], [orange peel at $1,613], or [Level 5 smooth at $5,913]. Start with knockdown selected.
Change orders
A plan revision, a late upgrade, or scope handed off is a change order, its own Draft under the estimate; removed scope becomes a display-only deduction. Once approved, your AI can note it but not edit it; further changes go on a new one. See How do I have my AI add a change order?.
What you'll see
Your AI asks you to approve each step, then reports the estimate number and total. Click "Estimates"; the new one sits at the top as a Draft, section and subtotal on the card, still editable there or through your AI.
It stays a Draft on purpose; publishing, sending and approval happen in Projul. See Can my AI publish or send an estimate?. If you dictate the same sections weekly, save the estimate, or a section like an attic blow, as a template. See How do I build and reuse estimate, section and line-item templates with my AI?.
