Give your AI the measure the way you would hand it to your estimator, and it builds the estimate on that project in Projul, with a section for tear-out, subfloor prep, the goods and install for each room, and trim. It appears in "Estimates" as a Draft, totals calculated.
What to say to your AI
Say the sections, the quantities, the units and your rates, and your AI puts each line on the estimate as labor, material or other.
Build an estimate in Projul for [Delgado Main Floor Replacement]. Tear-out and disposal: [pull carpet and pad, 1,060 sq ft at $0.55] plus [20]%, plus [6] hours of haul-off labor at [$42] plus [40]%. Luxury vinyl plank: [7 mm LVP, 670 sq ft at $2.85] plus [25]%, and [install labor, 610 sq ft at $1.65] plus [40]%. Apply our [Utah] sales tax.
If you already have an estimate template or priced section template saved, your AI copies it and adjusts the footages instead of starting from nothing:
Create an estimate in Projul for [Sandstone Unit 214 Turn] from my [Rental Turn, LVP and Carpet] template. Change the plank to [610] sq ft and the carpet to [42] sq yd.
Units, waste, markup and tax
Say the unit you price in (square feet, square yards, linear feet, boxes, pieces, treads, bags or hours) and it lands on the line. Give the field measurement plus a waste percentage, or the ordered quantity directly. Markup can be a percentage or a flat amount per unit. Tax applies only when you name a rate already set up in "Settings"; leave it out and the estimate is created without tax. See How does my AI calculate prices, markup and tax?.
Selections and change orders
When the client picks between products, such as plank versus carpet, your AI can build that section as a selection so only the chosen option counts toward the total. Removed scope goes on as a display-only deduction. Later changes go on as a change order under the same estimate; once approved, your AI can read it but not change it. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI? and How do I have my AI add a change order?.
What you will see
Your AI reports the estimate number and total when done. In Projul, click "Estimates": the new one sits at the top as a Draft, each section and subtotal on the card.
