Describe the pool and your AI builds the estimate in Projul, with a section per phase and priced line items. It appears in "Estimates" as a Draft, ready to review and send.
What to tell your AI
Give the shell size, deck footage, coping and tile footage and your rates. Your AI needs a Read-Write key and a project to hold the estimate, and can create one first. See How do I have my AI handle pool leads and follow-ups? A project holds one estimate, so an existing one gets changed instead. A template makes this shorter. See How do I have my AI create an estimate from one of my templates?
Build an estimate in Projul for [Alvarez Pool Build], a [16 x 32 freeform gunite pool, 930 sq ft of shell]. Excavation: [layout and dig, 1 day at $2,400] plus [20]%. Gunite shell: [930 sq ft at $9.75] plus [20]%. Tile and coping: [96 linear feet at $22] plus [30]%. Equipment set: [variable speed pump at $1,340] plus [20]%. Interior finish and start-up: [quartz, 930 sq ft at $6.25] plus [25]%. Apply our [Arizona] sales tax and tell me the estimate number and the total.
For a shorter brief, name your usual sections and pool size and let your AI propose quantities from your cost-item library.
Selections, tax and change orders
Options like the heater or the finish become a selections section: required single, optional single, or optional multiple. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI? Tax applies only when you name a rate from settings; your AI can also write the intro and contract text. See How do I have my AI write the introduction and contract text? A new section shows only its total until itemized, so say which sections to open up. See How does my AI calculate prices, markup and tax? Rock in the dig is the change order every pool builder writes; your AI adds it as its own Draft and drops removed scope in as a deduction. See How do I have my AI add a change order?
What you will see
Your AI asks you to approve each step, then reports the estimate number and total. In Projul, click "Estimates"; the new one sits at the top as a Draft, each section and subtotal on the card.
While it is a Draft, keep talking to your AI or edit it in Projul; both change the same Draft. Existing templates get reused instead of invented. See How do I build and reuse estimate, section and line-item templates with my AI? Publishing, sending and approval stay in Projul. See Can my AI publish or send an estimate?
Note: Purchase orders for tile, coping, equipment and plaster are not available to your AI yet. Those are raised in Projul.
