Describe the job the way you would hand it to whoever measures it, and your AI turns it into an estimate: a section per phase, line items carrying your quantities, cost and markup. It lands in "Estimates" as a totaled Draft, ready to review.
What to say to your AI
Your AI needs a Read-Write key and a project or lead, and can add a missing client or lead first. See How do I have my AI handle tile leads and follow-ups? A project holds one estimate; if it has one, your AI offers to edit it or add a change order. Say your sections, quantities, costs and markup, or point it at a template.

How a line prices out
Each line is labor, material or other, with a quantity, a unit (square feet, linear feet, each, boxes, gallons or hours), a cost and a markup. A waste allowance folds into the quantity; markup can be a percentage or a flat amount. Tax applies only when named, otherwise your cost-line defaults apply; a saved discount applies by name. See How does my AI calculate prices, markup and tax?
Selections and change orders
Let the client choose on grout, a heated floor or the tile: your AI builds the section as a selection, where only the picked option counts, or hides line pricing while keeping it in the total. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI? A rotten subfloor, an upgrade or dropped scope go on a change order, its own Draft under the estimate, with dropped scope shown as a display-only deduction. See How do I have my AI add a change order?
What you will see
Your AI approves each step with you, then reports the estimate number and total. Click "Estimates" and the new one sits at the top as a Draft, section subtotals shown on the card.
It stays a Draft on purpose; publishing, sending and approval happen in Projul. See Can my AI publish or send an estimate? An approved change order can be read but not edited; save repeated sections as a template. See How do I build and reuse estimate, section and line-item templates with my AI?
