Tell your AI the numbers off your takeoff sheet and it builds the painting estimate in Projul: sections for prep, ceilings, walls, trim and doors, and materials, priced with your cost and markup. It lands in "Estimates" as a Draft with Projul calculating every total.
Building the estimate
The job needs a lead or a project first; ask your AI for one if needed. See How do I have my AI add a new lead? Then give it the square footage, linear feet of trim, door count, gallons, labor rate, and markup.
Build an estimate in Projul for [Whitfield Interior Repaint]. Sections: Surface prep, Ceilings, Walls, Trim and doors, Materials and sundries. Ceilings: [1,180] sq ft at [$0.65] per sq ft with [45]% markup; [4] gallons of [flat ceiling white] at [$32] with [30]%. Walls: [3,240] sq ft at [$0.72] per sq ft with [45]% markup, two coats; [18] gallons of [interior eggshell] at [$46] with [30]%. Apply our [Utah] sales tax and tell me the total.

Options and what the client sees
Painting jobs often carry the upgrade in the same document, such as two coats instead of one. Tell your AI whether the client must choose exactly one option, one or none, or any number. The change order
Painting extras usually turn up once the crew is on site: an accent wall, a third coat. Your AI adds a change order priced the same way as the original estimate. See How do I have my AI add a change order? If the job shrinks, mark the dropped work display-only, or credit it with a negative-price line.
Add a change order to [Whitfield Interior Repaint] in Projul called [Wallpaper removal, back bedroom]: [1] room of wallpaper strip and skim, [12] hours at [$48]/hr with [45]% markup, [1] lot of stripper and joint compound at [$95] with [30]%. Apply our [Utah] tax.
Things to know
Note: Tax applies only when you name a rate from your settings; otherwise none is added, and you can add it later. Markup can be a percentage or a flat amount, so say which you mean.
Note: Your AI writes the estimate and change order as Drafts; publishing, sending, and approval happen in Projul. See Can my AI publish or send an estimate? It can read what has been invoiced and paid, but invoicing itself is done in Projul.
