Describe the job to your AI the way you would brief an estimator, and it builds the estimate in Projul: a section for each phase, line items with quantities, units, your costs and markup. It lands in "Estimates" as a Draft with Projul's totals, ready to check and send.
What a landscape estimate looks like
Each phase becomes a section: site prep, drainage, a paver patio, a seat wall, irrigation, planting, cleanup. Each line carries a type of labor, material or other, a quantity and unit, your cost per unit, and a markup, either a percentage or a flat amount per unit. Projul works out the line price, section subtotal and estimate total.
What to say to your AI
The more you say about quantities and rates, the closer the first draft is. The project must exist first, or ask your AI to create the lead in the same request. See How do I have my AI add a new lead?
Build an estimate in Projul for [Alvarez Backyard Renovation]. Site prep: [850] sq ft of sod cut and haul off, [24] hours of labor at [$42]/hr plus [40]% markup. Paver patio: [480] sq ft of [holland paver at $4.85] plus [25]%, [14] tons of [road base at $32] plus [20]%, [56] hours of labor at [$48] plus [40]%. Apply our [Utah] sales tax and tell me the total and the gross margin.

Options, tax and change orders
For choices like paver or flagstone, your AI can make a selection section and say which option starts selected. See How do I use subsections, selections and display-only sections with my AI? For scope changes, your AI adds a change order priced the same way; removed work goes in as a display-only deduction. See How do I have my AI add a change order?
What you will see
Your AI asks you to approve each step, then reports the estimate number and total. Click "Estimates" and the new Draft is at the top, with each section's subtotal on the card.
