Tell your AI which client you mean and whether to archive or delete them, and it makes the change under "People" and "Clients" in Projul. Archiving keeps their projects, estimates and invoices; deleting removes those too.
You will need a Read-Write key, see How do I get my Projul AI Connect API key?, and your AI needs to know which client you mean, see How does my AI find a client?
Archiving a client
Archiving takes the client out of your client list and out of the list your AI reads. If they have a client portal login, it is archived too and becomes active again when you unarchive them. Their projects, estimates and invoices do not change. Your AI asks you to approve it.
Archive [Sam Rivera] in Projul.
Because an archived client is no longer in the list, your AI cannot find them by name afterward. In Projul, click "People", then "Clients", then "Manage archived" to see them.
Bringing an archived client back
Ask your AI to unarchive the client. If you archived them earlier in the same conversation, your AI already knows who you mean. Otherwise, tell it to add the client again with the same first and last name plus an email or phone number already on file. Projul compares only the first email and phone number on the record, recognizes the match, refuses a duplicate, and tells your AI which client to unarchive. See How do I have my AI add a client?
Deleting a client
Deleting a client also deletes their projects and leads, the tasks on those projects, their estimates, and their invoices, and removes them from any files. There is no undo. Your AI reads the client immediately before deleting, so it acts on the client as it stands right now, and asks you to approve.
Delete the client [Sam Rivera] from Projul, including his projects.
A deleted client cannot be restored. An archived client can be brought back at any time.
When Projul refuses to delete
If any invoice for the client has a payment recorded on it, Projul refuses to delete the client and changes nothing, though archiving still works. Your AI tells you the delete was blocked. See Error codes in plain English: A Complete Breakdown for what the message means.
