Projul AI Connect lets an AI assistant work inside your Projul account. You turn it on from "Settings" by creating an API key under "Projul AI Connect", then connect that key to the AI tool you use.
Projul AI Connect is available on the Pro plan. Accounts on a 7-day free trial can use it during the trial.
An API key is a long password your AI uses to sign in on your behalf. Ask it to add a lead, build an estimate, or schedule a crew, the way you would ask an office manager. It reads and writes the same records you see, so a lead it adds is in your pipeline right away.
Note: Projul AI Connect must be enabled on your account before "Projul AI Connect" appears in the "Settings" dropdown, and then only for account admins.

Which AI tools work with Projul AI Connect
Projul AI Connect works with the AI tools that let you paste in a key. Today that includes Cursor, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Claude Code and the Claude apps on the web, desktop and phone. Zapier can connect too, for automations. ChatGPT and the Gemini app do not have a place to enter a key yet, so they cannot connect. The "Connect your AI" section has the steps for each tool.
What your AI can do
- Clients: add, find, update, and archive.
- Leads and projects: add, move through your pipeline, mark sold or completed, set the job-site address and notes.
- Estimates: build from a template or from scratch, add sections and line items, add change orders, apply tax, write the introduction and contract text.
- Tasks and schedule: create, calendar them, assign people and crews, add checklists, set up repeats.
- Messages: log a call, text, or site visit on a job, client, task, or estimate.
- Photos and files: find, read, and attach. Uploading a new file needs a tool that can transfer files itself.
- Teams: create a crew and manage who is on it.
- Templates: build and reuse estimate, section, and line-item templates.
What your AI cannot do yet
- Invoices: cannot create, edit, or send them.
- Estimates: created as a Draft only; you publish and send it.
- Time clock, timesheets, and payroll.
- Daily logs and purchase orders.
- Client messaging: it can log a message, but sending is done from Projul.

How access is controlled
You control access with the API key you create. Choose read-only or read-write, and revoke it any time. A key only reaches your own company's data; anything a client sees is still published and sent by a person.
Note: Read and Read-Write keys are compared in Should I give my AI a Read key or a Read-Write key?
