Your Projul AI Connect API key is a password to your Projul account, and it belongs in your AI tool's settings and nowhere else. Manage it under "Settings" and then "Projul AI Connect", where the "API keys" section rotates, revokes, and shows what each key has done.
Where the key lives
Paste the key into your AI tool's connector or server settings once and let the tool store it there. It never belongs in a shared document, a group chat, a screenshot, or a chat message, since your AI keeps it in the tool's settings and sends it to Projul in the background. If a key ends up typed into a chat message anyway, rotate it.
Create one key per tool, named after the tool, so you can revoke one without touching the others, and use a Read key wherever you only need answers.
Watching how a key is used
Under "Settings" and "Projul AI Connect", each key's "Last used" date and "Recorded calls this month" show in the "API keys" section, and "Connect usage" shows your whole account's calls this month against your limit, plus a daily count for the last 30 days.
Anything your AI writes in Projul is recorded under the key's name followed by "(Projul AI Connect)", for example "Office assistant (Projul AI Connect)". Notes, messages, and estimates show that name where a person's name would normally appear.
Revoking and rotating
"Revoke" turns a key off for good; any tool using it stops reaching Projul immediately. "Rotate" swaps in a new key, shown once, without changing its name or access level. "Edit" changes a key's name or access level without issuing a new key. All three sit on the "API keys" section next to each key. See How do I get my Projul AI Connect API key?
Note: After you rotate or revoke, update or remove the key in every tool that used it. Some tools cannot edit a saved key; in that case remove the Projul connection and add it again with the new key.
When someone leaves
Keys belong to your company account, not to a person, so one created by an employee keeps working after they leave. Revoke it if they set up an AI tool with it on their own computer or phone.
