To allow a client to sign an estimate that has expired, either toggle on the ability for them to approve it past the expiration date or move the expiration date to a future date.
Expiration dates
An estimate will expire as shown here if the current date is past the set expiration date of the estimate. An expired estimate is still visible, but the client will not be able to sign and approve it.
This can be addressed in one of two ways. For one, you can move the expiration date into the future. You can do this by:
1. Clicking on the "Estimate Expires" date
2. Clicking on the date you wish to have the estimate expire
The second way to allow the client to sign and approve the estimate is to toggle ON the option that allows them to approve it after the expiration. Press the 3-dot button in the upper right corner on the estimate and toggle on "Client can approve estimate after the expiration date."
Either of these methods will unlock the estimate and allow the customer to sign and approve the estimate.
Expiration Settings
You can change the default behavior by setting the default expiration date or toggling the option for Estimates to be able to be approved after the expiration date by default. To do this:
1. Click on your initials in the bottom left corner of the screen
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Make sure you're in the "Estimates" settings
4. Change the default expiration date to your liking
5. Toggle the option for Estimates to be able to be approved after the expiration date by default
