Selections allow your clients to choose materials, finishes, or other customizable aspects of a construction project.
Below is a video on selections, or keep reading for written instructions!
Creating selections:
To add a selection in Projul, you must be in an estimate. Create or navigate to the section that you would like to turn into a selection. At the top of that section, click the "Make selection" button.
Selection types:
Once the section has been changed into a selection, you will be able to choose from three selection types:
- Required single selection
- Optional single selection
- Optional multiple selection
1. Required single selection
The "Required single selection" feature ensures your client selects only one option within a selection. This is ideal for items such as flooring types or paint colors, where only one choice is allowed.
2. Optional single selection
3. Optional multiple selection
The final option is "Optional multiple selection," which allows client to select multiple line items. This is best for a list of possible add-ons that your client may or may not want to include with a job.
What will the client see?
When the client receives the estimate link, they will be able to view the selection options in the email. If you chose to select certain items before sending the estimate, the client will view those items as already selected, but will be able to change those selections if they want to. Once the client signs the estimate the selections will lock and will no longer be able to be changed.
Turning selections back off for a section
To change a selection section back into a normal section, click on the three dot menu at the top right of the selection.
Toggle "Make into a selection" to the off position.
