You can add discounts and tax rates to an estimate, invoice, or change order using the button at the bottom of the estimate.
Discounts and tax rates can be added in either the estimate or the invoice, but in this article, we'll be going over adding them in estimates as it is the document that comes first.

Discounts
Applying existing discounts:
To create or apply discounts, first enter the estimate or invoice to which you would like to apply a discount.
Scroll down and select "Add Discount" at the bottom right corner of the screen to open a drop down menu.
Creating new discounts:
From here, you can search for and select an existing discount, or you can create a new discount by clicking on the blue "New Discount" button. You can also edit or delete an existing discount by clicking on the three dots to the right of the discount.
If you choose to create a new discount, select the "New discount" button. This will open up a pop-up menu.
Within the discount creation menu, enter the details of your new discount:
- At the top of the menu, you can decide if you are applying a discount as a percentage or dollar amount.
- Below that, you can select the name of the discount that you are creating.
- Beneath that, you can select the value of the discount.
- Under that, you can toggle if the discount will apply before or after tax.
- Finally, click "Save" and the discount will automatically be applied to the estimate, as well as saved for future use.
Tax rates
Applying existing taxes
To select an existing tax rate, start by opening an estimate. With the estimate open, press the gray pen-and-paper icon in the lower right hand corner.
From the menu, select one of your existing tax rates.
It will now display in the lower right hand corner.
Adding new tax rates
To add a new tax rate, open up the tax menu and type into the top box the name of a new rate. Then, select the blue "Add Tax" button at the bottom of the menu.
You will then be prompted to add a tax percentage. You can also adjust the name if needed.
Once a tax percentage is added, select "Save tax." This will select the tax rate for this estimate and make it available for use again in the future.
To delete an unwanted tax rate, open up the tax menu by selecting the gray pen-and-paper icon. Next, find the tax rate that you wish to delete and press the 3-dot button to the right of it. Select "Delete" from the menu.
