Project templates, which copy all tasks on a project, can be created from an existing project or from the project templates page, and applied to an existing project to add all tasks from the template to the active project.
In order to create a template from an existing Project, start by navigating to the projects page and finding the project you would like to copy the tasks of. Open the three dot menu button in the top right corner of the projects card and select "Make Template From Project."
From here, give the template a name and choose whether or not you want to retain the worker assignments on the tasks for the new template.
To get to the project template page:
- Click on the button that changes the type of project you are viewing at the top of the screen
- Click on "Open project templates"
This should open up a tab showing all the project templates that you currently have. To edit an existing template, simply click on the three dot menu and click "Edit."
To apply a saved project template, find the project that you would like to add tasks from the template to. Next, press the three dot menu from the top right and select "Apply Project Template."
Lastly, you can select the start date of the first task from a calendar and select the project template that you would like to apply. Press "Apply project template" to apply the template.
With the project template applied, all the tasks from the template will appear and show on the new project. Existing tasks on this project will remain and will not be changed when applying the template.
