Tell your AI which schedule template to use, the client, the job name, and a start date, and it creates the project in Projul with the template's tasks already on it, shifted to begin on that date.
What to say to your AI
Your AI needs a Read-Write connection to Projul, and the template must already exist there. It can read your list of templates, so just name one as it appears in Projul. This only works while creating the project; to apply a template afterward, use the project's three-dot menu in Projul.
Create a project in Projul for [Sam Rivera] called [Rivera Deck Rebuild] at [418 W Tabernacle St, St. George, UT 84770] from my [Composite Deck] schedule template, starting [October 6]. Mark it sold.
To keep the template's crews on the copied tasks, ask for that in the same request, as in this lead example:
Create a lead in Projul called [Ortiz Basement Finish] for [Maria Ortiz] from my [Basement Finish] schedule template, starting [November 3], and keep the template's crews on the tasks.
How the dates work
A template's tasks are laid out relative to each other. Projul places the earliest task on the start date you gave and shifts the rest to keep the same spacing; a task with no date stays without one. If the template's tasks carry dates, a start date is required, and your AI asks for one if you did not give it.
Only a schedule template carries tasks. A project template stores project details instead, so starting a project from one creates it with no tasks, and no start date is used.
Note: The job-site address you give in the same request is not kept when you use a schedule template. Projul uses the client's address or leaves it empty, so ask your AI to set the address after the project is created.
Crews and the estimate
By default, the copied tasks come across unassigned. Ask your AI to keep the template's crews on the tasks in the same request if you want them carried over.
The template's estimate is not copied either. Build it from one of your estimate templates in the same request or afterward. See How do I have my AI create an estimate from one of my templates?.
What you'll see
Your AI asks you to approve the action and confirms the project number. In Projul, the project appears under "Projects" or "Lead pipeline" depending on the status you asked for, with its tasks on the "Gantt" and "Timeline" views starting on the date you gave.
