A lead is in the "To Revise" status because the Estimate associated with the lead has been written but needs revision. To move the lead forward in the pipeline, simply have a user with Admin permissions mark the estimate as revised.
There are two methods, one automated and one manual, to move a Lead/Estimate out of the "To Revise" status. They will both follow the same steps in the beginning.
When a Lead is moved into the "To Revise" status, a new task is automatically added to the Task List associated with the project. However, it is unassigned and unscheduled.
To view the task, select the task icon in the top right corner of the Lead. This will open a drop-down menu that the new "Write Estimate" task can be found in.
Note that this new task is unassigned and unscheduled. We will need to assign and schedule it in order to move our Lead forward through this status of the pipeline.
Once you open the Sidebar Editing tool, you can assign an employee to the task as well as a date. Make sure to save this information when finished.
Reopening the task list on the Lead, note that the "Write Estimate" task is now displaying the assigned Estimator and time.
Before we use the two methods available to move this Lead out of this status, we want to ensure that this task is completed. As shown below, since there is no checkmark to the right of the "Write Estimate" task, the task is not complete.
Automated method: Have an Admin user mark the estimate revised after an Estimator has completed the "Write Estimate" task
This method ensures that all steps of this process are followed.
- Navigate to the Task List through the left sidebar menu
- Set the correct timeframe from the dropdown menu
- Select the filter button in the top right corner
- Search for the user who is assigned to the task
- Select the appropriate user from the results page
Scroll down in the Task List until reaching the "Write Estimate" task that is associated with the lead you are working with.
Note that there is a toggle labeled "Mark Write Estimate Complete." Once the Estimator has completed the task, they will toggle this on to mark the task complete.
Returning to the Lead Pipeline, select the Task icon in the top right corner of the Lead. Note that the "Write Estimate" task that we viewed before now has a checkmark to the right of where the name of the task is displayed.
With the "Write Estimate" task completed, select the "Next Action: Revise Estimate" button in the bottom right corner of the Lead and select "Mark Estimate Revised" in the drop-down menu that opens up.
Note that the Lead we have been working with is no longer in the "To Revise" status. Navigate to the "To Send" status by selecting the appropriate field within the Lead Pipeline at the top of the screen.
The Lead has successfully been moved out of the "To Revise" status and into the "To Send" status.
Manual Method: Have an Admin user drag the Lead into the desired status
Returning to the step where the relevant "Write Estimate" task has been assigned and scheduled, select the Task icon on the Lead tile. Note that the "Write Estimate" task does not have a checkmark next to the display text and is therefore not complete.
Select the three dot menu to the right of the task. Within the drop-down menu that emerges from the three dot menu there is a "Write Estimate Complete" toggle switch.
Select this toggle and ensure that it is marked complete. Note that once marked as complete, the task will display a green checkmark next to it.
Click and hold on the colored, square tile on the very left hand side of the Lead we are working with. Move the mouse to the status we intend to move it into. In the below image, we are moving it to the "To Send" status, but it can be moved to any status along the Lead Pipeline. Release the mouse button and the Lead will "drop" into the new status.
This will create a pop-up confirming your decision
Navigate to the "To Send" status. Note that the Lead we have been working with is now within the "To Send" status along the Lead Pipeline.
