Ask your AI for a file and it finds it in the project's "Photos & files" and hands you a private download link from Projul.
Ask for a file
Your AI can list what is on a project, an estimate, a line item, or a message, so you can find a photo without opening Projul.
What photos are on [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul?
Get me a download link for the [thompson-plans] file on [Thompson Deck Rebuild] in Projul.
A tool that runs on your computer can also save files straight to a folder instead of just handing you a link.
What you will see
Your AI lists the files it found by name and gives you the download link in its reply. The same files sit under "Photos & files" on the project in Projul.
How the link works
This works with a Read key. Projul hands your AI a link to the original file rather than the file itself, so a large photo downloads at full size, not a thumbnail. The link is valid for about 15 minutes and opens only that one file. Click it to download; if it has expired, ask your AI for a fresh one. Anyone who has the link can download the file until it expires.
Files your AI cannot see
Your AI's count can run lower than what you see in Projul because a few kinds of file are left out: photos attached only to a task and not a project, formats Projul AI Connect does not handle such as HEIC and WEBP, zip files the app built for a bulk download, and company settings images such as your logo. Files on a deleted project stay hidden until the project is restored. Photos and files someone removed in the app are also left out, though they are still in Projul under the "Show removed photos" toggle in the project's gallery. Nothing is actually missing from Projul in any of these cases.
To attach a file you found to a task or an estimate, see How do I attach files to a task or an estimate with my AI?. To get a file into Projul in the first place, see How do I have my AI upload a job-site photo or document?.
