As an accounting software, QuickBooks displays all cost line items required for accurate bookkeeping, while Projul allows for simplified customer-facing invoices.
Invoices in Projul
In Projul, non-itemized invoices show the billable amount as a single line item. Though non-itemized invoices in Projul display as one line, they are still billed from various cost lines in the estimate.
Non-itemized invoices can be very useful for simplifying the details of how each item is being billed. QuickBooks, however, displays all the cost line items, which is how the data is able to be synced from Projul to QuickBooks.
Invoices in QuickBooks
In QuickBooks, invoices display fully itemized with the payment broken out over the cost line items that were billed.
While Projul simplifies customer-facing invoices, QuickBooks ensures all billing information is fully itemized for financial reporting purposes. This does not affect how the invoices display in Projul.
