Upload files and photos into Projul through projects, estimates, or invoices. Manage them in photos and files.
There are a few of different ways to upload a file or a photo into Projul.
- Upload it to a project.
- Upload it to an estimate/invoice.
- Upload it to a task.
Upload to a Project:
To upload a file or photo to a project:
- Navigate to the project (in either the project section or the lead pipeline)
- Click on the nine-square menu at the top right of the project
- Select "See Files" or "See Photos". In this case, we will use files
A sidebar will open allowing you to see, manage, or add any files or photos for this project. Select "Upload a File" to upload a new file from your computer, or you can select the edit icon on a pre-existing file to edit its info.
Note: Photos and files uploaded to a project are not visible to the customer.
To upload photos, do the same, but click "See Photos" instead of "See Files". Click the same as before, but it will say, "Upload a photo".
Upload to a Estimate/Invoice:
Another place to upload files or photos is in estimates and invoices. To do that, scroll down and select "Attach A File" or "Attach a Photo" in either the estimate or the invoice.
Photos and files that are attached to an estimate or invoice are visible to the customer. Uploading a file to an estimate or invoice will also attach it to the project.
Please note that attaching files or photos to an estimate or invoice is the only way to share files with a customer in Projul, however it can be done at any time. Files or photos attached to the project are not visible to the customer, not even in the client portal.
Upload to a Task:
Finally, files and photos can uploaded to a task in the task list. To do that, go to the task list and, select the nine dot menu, and click "See Files", or "See Photos". In this case, we will click "See Files".
This will open a files menu very similar to the project menu. Note that files uploaded to a task will be visible at the task level. Additionally, if the task is associated to a project, the file will also be associated to the project. If the task is not associated to a project, the the uploaded file will only be visible at the task level.
Any file uploaded into Projul will automatically be put in the "Files" area of "Photos & Files." They will remain accessible in this area, as long as the project isn't deleted. Within the database you can rename the files and mark files as favorites to ensure you won't lose track of any files that are important to you.
To do this with Photos, simply click on "Gallery" instead.
