Accessing Photo Reports in Projul
Photo reports are a Pro feature and are only available to users on Projul's Pro Plan.
Projul's photo report can be accessible within the app via the 9-square "dial pad" icon found on the project file card. This dial pad can be found on the project file card on two pages within Projul: the lead pipeline and the projects page.
- Open up Projul and navigate to either the "Lead Pipeline" or "Projects" page by selecting the appropriate option from the navigation sidebar.
- Find the project file that you want to create a photo report for on either the lead pipeline or the projects page and select the 9 square, "dial pad" icon in the top right corner of the card
- From the resulting drop-down menu, select "See Photo Reports"
A sidebar will open, displaying all current photo reports in a list. Note that for this project, no photo reports have been created. To create a new photo report, select "Add Photo Report".
Creating and editing a Photo Report
Below is a screenshot of an empty photo report. Important components of the photo report page are highlighted.
- Customer Information: View customer and project information and change address from a list of addresses attached to this customer. Project details can be edited here if needed.
- Company Contact Information: Make changes to the company information displayed at the top of the photo report.
- Date: Change the date displayed on the photo report.
- Photo Size: Choose the size of the photos contained in the photo report.
- Three dot menu: Further options related to the photo report can be found here.
- Edit: Change the title of the photo report.
- Add Section: Add additional sections to the photo report.
- Print Preview: Generates a .pdf preview of the photo report which can be saved locally.
Select "Add Section." A page will appear that displays photos stored in your Projul account.
- By default, the filter is set to only show photos attached to this project; however, this can be adjusted to select any photo to be included in this report, regardless of which project the photo is attached to.
- Check the boxes (highlighted area 2) of all of the photos you would like contained in this section.
- If you want to add a picture from your machine, upload more photos from your local device.
- Once the desired photos are selected, click "Select Photos."
A section title (highlighted field 1) and section description (highlighted field 2) can be added to provide an explanation for the photos and notes contained in this section. Additionally, these two fields can be saved and then applied as templates for faster building of photo reports in the future (highlighted field 3). Click "Done" (highlighted field 4) once finished adding any desired details.
Photo names and descriptions can be edited by selecting the "expand" option on the section card.
Selecting the edit icon associated with an Image allows you to name the image and add a description.
Similar to the section title and description, image names and descriptions (highlighted field 1) can be templated (highlighted field 2) for faster construction of future photo reports. Tags can also be added to photos (highlighted field 3). Once all desired changes and edits have been made, save these changes by selecting "Done" (highlighted field 4).
Additional sections can be added by selecting the "Add Section" button and following the above steps.
It is easy to move around sections or photos beneath expanded sections to customize the format of this report. Simply click and hold the 6-dot icon (highlighted area 1) on an item and drag it to its desired location. Note the horizontal blue line (highlighted area 2) indicating where the item will be moved to upon release of the mouse hold.
Sending Photo Reports
Once your photo report is formatted as desired and you are ready to send it, select the send option at the bottom of the editor page. From the resulting menu, click "Email Photo Report to Customer."
A pop-up window will appear that allows you to change the recipient of this document (highlighted area 1), make changes to the body of the email (highlighted area 2), and then send the email containing the live link that your customer can access the photo report with (highlighted area 3).
The body of this generated email is a template that can be edited in the "Projects" submenu of Projul's general settings.
To access this menu:
- Select your initials in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
- Click "settings" from the list that appears.
- Select "Settings - Notifications" from the general settings sidebar and choose "Projects" from the drop-down menu.
Once in the projects submenu, scroll to the second section from the bottom titled "Photo Reports". Select "Edit Email" and make any desired changes to the template. Once saved, this template will populate any future project report emails sent using Projul.
